I integrate spatial components into my marine ecology and conservation work, combining training from a research-based MSc in Geography from the University of Victoria, and a BSc in Marine Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. I was also a Coastal Climate Solutions Leader Trainee at the University of Victoria, and am interested in the intersections of coastal biodiversity and nature-based climate solutions in coastal communities. I currently conduct freelance marine science research work for governments, First Nations, research institutes, and start-ups, but am aiming to pivot to full-time work in the near future. Beyond science, I have a strong background in communications as a photojournalist and a marketing photographer in my undergraduate years.

Outside of work, I like climbing rocks and exploring our oceans on breath-hold, and creating photos and essays about our strange, beautiful world.
